Time to Measure!

Piktochart

What is Piktochart?

It's a program that allows users to make info graphics. It has different templates you can select or you can create your own. Along with that, you can add your own background, insert shapes and pictures. There are many different ways you can be creative with this tool.

What does this tool means for me as a student in the Education Program?

I can use Piktochart for my lessons plans. It a creative way to mix up lessons and to get information across to students.

What will I do with this tool as a future teacher?

I can create my own posters for my classroom for the different lesson we will have each week. The students can look at them to help them remember the material I will be covering in the classroom

PROS of
  • Organizes everything for you
  • Looks professional
  • Allows you to upload pictures and different art

CONS of
  • Takes a long time to create
  • It's difficult to make place items on infographic
  • If you use it your first time, it's hard to follow at first on how to work the program

How will I use this tool in my classroom to present information?

I can use my info-graphic to show a summary of a lesson I am teaching. Also, I can print them off and have the students take them home and put it on their walls. This will allow them to remember the material when they are home.

How can my students utilize this tool?

They take the info graphic home with them and use it to remember the information they have learned in class. Also they use look at it in the classroom while they are doing homework assignments.
