What is MindMapping?
Remember making web maps for your outlines when you would be brain storming for papers or group projects? Well this is the same thing. It's a giant mind where you can link comments, videos, web links and pictures to each other.
What does this tool means for me as a student in the Education Program?
This is a great way to make presentations and link a whole bunch of materials together to help it be organized. This will help me prepare lessons in a different and cool way.
What will I do with this tool as a future teacher?
This tool allows students to be able to explore and find new information themselves. They are able to develop critical thinking skills and find new ways to learn for themselves. Mindmapping allows students to learn in multiple ways through videos, text, games and pictures.
PROS of
- Easy to make
- Add links quickly
- Colorful
CONS of
- The presentation can look messy
- Hard to share online if you don't have Adobe Flash Player
How will I use this tool in my classroom to present information?
Mindmapping can be an easy way to teach a lesson that might have lots of material. I can be easy to organize it in sections. I can present it in the classroom or have it for homework.

I can have mindmap posted on our classroom blog. This will make it possible for students to review the material we covered in class. I have also create homework assignments that involves looking at the mindmap I have created.
